What is an AI-assisted migration?
Modern AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can talk to services safely through the open MCP protocol (Model Context Protocol). emailmover ships such an interface: your assistant can fetch a price quote, look up your provider’s IMAP settings, start the free measurement, follow progress and kick off the migration — while you watch.
So you simply tell your assistant "move my mail from Yahoo to my own domain", and it handles the steps with emailmover in the background.
How it works in three steps
Step 1: create a free account on emailmover.online and open the AI access page in the app. One click mints a personal access token (shown once; revocable anytime).
Step 2: connect your assistant. For Claude it is a single command: claude mcp add --transport http emailmover https://emailmover.online/mcp with your token as the Authorization header. Other MCP clients use the same endpoint.
Step 3: ask your assistant to migrate. It starts the free measurement, reports the size and price, then starts the actual migration. Only paying (above the free 0.5 GB) happens yourself, safely in your browser.
Safe by design
The access token only grants migration actions on your account: measure, check status and start. It can never read your mail content — which is never stored anywhere — and it cannot make payments.
Mailbox passwords your assistant passes on are stored encrypted immediately and wiped after the migration, exactly like a manual migration. You can revoke the token at any time in the app.
